At Wine Inspired, our selection is guided by a forward-thinking strategy that reflects where the wine world is headed—not just where it’s been.
We begin by exploring climate-resilient alternatives to traditional regions, seeking wines from high-altitude and cooler-climate vineyards that are thriving in a changing environment. Then, we turn our attention to the classics—uncovering hidden value in overlooked appellations, second labels, and rising producers within iconic regions.
Curiosity drives us to source unusual grape varieties and innovative winemaking styles that bring fresh stories to the table—perfect for those looking to offer something truly different. And across every decision, we keep a sharp focus on emerging regions—places with untapped potential, rising quality, and growing global appeal.
This isn’t just wine buying—it’s future-proofed curation.

Marc O’Krent, originally from Los Angeles, California, discovered his passion for wines while studying at the University of California, Berkeley, in the 1980s. He further honed his skills through private mentorship within the Southern California Winemakers Network.
From 1986 to 1996, Marc was an active member of Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP), where he enjoyed several successful years as a Zinfandel winemaker. His passion for winemaking eventually led him to Europe, where he traveled extensively and drew inspiration from the remarkable work of winemakers worldwide.
Craig McGinness, originally from Glasgow, Scotland, brings a storyteller’s instinct and a strategist’s mindset to Wine Inspired. As Head Consultant, he plays a key role in shaping the forward-thinking selection that defines the business, curating wines not only for where the industry has been, but for where it’s headed next.
Currently advancing his studies with WSET, he combines formal training with real-world insight gained from extensive time spent in two of the world’s most influential wine regions: Bordeaux and California. This experience fuels his passion for demystifying wine and making it both approachable and exciting, especially through the lens of storytelling and brand-building.
With a particular interest in marketing and narrative, he seeks out wines with soul—bottles that speak of place, process, and personality. Whether it’s a high-altitude Syrah from an emerging region or a second-label gem from Bordeaux, his curation is always rooted in curiosity and future-focused thinking.
For Craig, wine isn’t just a product—it’s a conversation waiting to be uncorked.

Born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Tiago’s path to wine began after moving to Portugal, where he now lives. With a background in classical piano and music education, he brings a unique perspective to wine - merging a structured, research-driven mindset with curiosity and a love for storytelling. Portugal was his gateway into the world of wine, and he holds a deep affection for the age-worthy and ocean-influenced wines of Bairrada and Colares.
Tiago is especially drawn to wines that express a strong sense of place - authentic, pure, and honest reflections of their terroir and grape varieties. His curiosity extends to the evolving global wine map: how emerging regions are redefining tradition, and how climate change is reshaping the classics. His personal favorites mirror his appreciation for nuance and depth: elegant yet complex reds from Tuscany and Piedmont, and crystalline whites from Chablis, Galicia, and Germany.
